The Pareto Principle, also known as the “80/20” rule, says that most outcomes in life come from only a few causes.
The 80/20 rule is the easiest and most basic way I recommend for you to get started with weight loss.
So how do I use the 80/20 rule for myself and my clients for weight loss?
I monitor and track the foods that you are eating each week.
Then I figure out the foods that are causing the most weight gain (ie the ones with highest calories and least nutritional value).
Then we remove, reduce and replace those high calorie foods with better food choices that have higher nutritional value and lower calories.
Next we plan your entire next week out and keep a balance of 80% good, nutritious, low calorie, high protein meals.
The 20% fun more free meals can be called cheat meals but I prefer to call them reward meals for sticking to your 80% clean meals.
Now with your weekly plan, you can lose weight and be HAPPY while enjoying your weekend Margaritas and Tacos and still stay on track within your 80/20 rule.
Sticking to it and being consistent is going to make the biggest impact and that can be the hardest part.
So there you go, you can still lose weight and be happy!
